| Our event location is an important ingredient in our “secret sauce” to stage successful symposiums. We’ve held all of our prior
10 symposiums here. Turning 2023 will be an outstanding turning event and a peaceful weekend retreat for all who attend!
The Higher Ground Conference and Event Center is situated on 268 beautiful, wooded acres in scenic southern Indiana. It’s just a
30-minute drive from Cincinnati. This modern, full-service facility allows us to offer all aspects of our event on site. (Higher Ground is the
summer practice and training facility for the University of Cincinnati football team and marching band!)
The turning demonstrations and trade show all take place under one roof in the Graves Hall building.
All meals are served in the comfortable Ferguson Hall Dining Room, just a short walk away from Graves Hall. The large and comfortable dining hall affords you the opportunity to interact with fellow attendees, demonstrators, and vendors in a relaxed setting. |

You can select private Lodge Rooms that offer two beds. Share this room with a spouse, or bunk with a turning buddy and split the expense! The Lodge, with 48 rooms, is always in high demand and sells out quickly. If you prefer this option, it’s best to book early.
Lodge Rooms are offered for 3-night stays only (Thursday, Friday and Saturday)

A truly economical option is dorm style rooms with showers and restrooms “down the hall.” There are separate wings of the Dorm Building for men or women.
Dorm Rooms can be booked for any individual night or all nights of the symposium.

You may choose as few or as many meals as you prefer during your stay at Turning 2019. For example, you can select an 8 or 9 meal plan for the entire Symposium, individual meals, or meals for a single day stay.

Take I-275 west to I-74 to Indiana. After crossing into Indiana continue on I-74 to the Brookville Exit (Exit 169). Go left (north) on route 52 to the first street, Highway 46, turn left (west) and follow Route 46, 1 1/2 mile to the Higher Ground Conference and Retreat Center sign. Turn right at the drive [approximately 30 miles from the airport].
Take I-74 to the St. Leon exit (Exit 164), turn left on Route 1 to Highway 46, turn right and go 3 miles to the Higher Ground Conference and Retreat Center sign. Turn left at the drive [approximately 82 miles from Indianapolis]. |
